did they change the scrambler at all change from 1996 to 1999 and does it have concentric drive? Thanks

 

Too many changes to list. No concentric drive.

 

Like Jerome said, there has been major changes. Ever year it has got better in some way, whether it be reliability or performance. Starting in '98 is when they put concentric drive on the Scramblers. They have also upgraded suspension little by little over the years (both front & rear), tires, maybe carburators, controls, and all kinds of stuff.

 

In 1998 the Scrambler 500 first introduced concentric drive. Then it spread all throughout the 1999 lineup, including the 400 Scrambler.

 

The '98 400 had it too.

 

98 switched from chain drive front to shaft.

 

is it really neccesary to have shaft front drive because there is a 1996 in a paper shop up here for 3900 and says less then 50 hours
i have been looking for one but maybe i will wait a little longer.
