Monday was my lucky day.I found a brand new 99'magnum 500 w/EBS.What a nice machine,cant seem to get off the thing,its just like riding a truck that can go through anything.So far I have only managed to put 25 miles of mostly ditch,and hill runnin.Does anyone know how long break in is? Can I start to really gettin on it?I kinda went a little crazy at the dealer,ordered a 50" moose plow,big yellow one,a warn 2000lbs. winch,I installed yesterday,boy is that thing slick.Today I got to a big crater thing in the ground,and there was a dried up tree laying right in the middle,so I just got off,grabbed the winch,wrapped around,pressed the in button,and the sucker snapped her right in half and I drug it out of my way.Very impressive,good investment.Also ordered a windshield,and a bumper to protect the winch,and I ordered the polaris spray rig with the 80" boom.We thought that the 12 footer would be a over kill.Cant wait to do some plowing,its a snow dirt plow,with all that power in low range,this thing should really move the dirt.Plan on re-seeding the lawn this year should come in handy.Thanx to all of you that responded to my question earlier,I really like this quad,my best purchase yet!!! Cant wait for the spring thaw.

 

Congratulations Cowman; I know you will enjoy it. I used my first tank of gas in mine as the break in. Just remeber any hard pulling you get into use low range,anytime you feel it begin to strain in high use low ,that will save wear on your belt.

Hey, way to go Cowman!! Congrats.. I think you'll be real happy with the Magnum 500. I sure am with mine. Brake her in with that first tank like Kagey say's and then you'll be ready for the plow work. From the sounds of it, that unit is going to be pretty well outfitted. Enjoy it!!!

Cowman,congradulations on your new purchase.Take it fairly easy for the first 10 hrs of use.Allways use low gear when in doubt.Manuel says to change oil at 20hrs.I did mine at 10 AND 20 hrs.Its up to you.As for this Stocker guy?Kagey said it right[IDIOT].Pay no attention to him.===BILL
