I found 26 on my sportsman, 14 in the rear, 5 on the drive shaft (u joints, etc) and 7 on the front including the 2 on the steering column. Am i missing some?

Also, when changing the oil on the 500, does it take exactly 2 quarts or do i need a third to top it off?

You didn't say what year? 25 on the 01's, 26 on the oo's and more on the earlier models.

 

Must be the OO because the 01 has one on the steering shaft???

 

I forgot the year, yes, it is a 2000 model. It sounds like i have found them all. How the heck do you get to the one on the upper steering shaft? I actually never found that one, I just knew it was there. By the way, how many does a 1998 have? I heard a lot more.

 

Remove front rack
Remove front plastic
Top of the shaft,under the headlight pod,theres a bunch of wires.Its right in there.
Atleast thats how it is on the 01
