depending on where you take it and what there idea of a "tune up" is it could be newhere from 50$ to 150$. I work at a cycle & ATV repair shop and our idea of a tune up on a 2stroke is changin the oil plug and cleaning out the carb checking the gas for debris or water makin sure the injector is functionin properly if equiped checkin the tires and drivetrain cleaning the air filter checking the differintial and hub fluid levels if equipped and checking for unusual noises in the engine

Kukerdan, after this winter id check your O rings in your front end and put some cardboard under your front tires to see if your hubs r leaking and also take that whole front hub cover off and check the insides if there was a LOT of filings on the magnet.

ok guys another ? i got to lookin in my dennis kirk and its got the primary drive springs and its got a red a orange and a blue the red holds 60lbs at 2 1/2" load and 140 and 1 1/2" load the orange holds 90 at 2 1/2 and 140 at 1 1/2 which is better for takin off and will it eat more belts or save them more?

I run a Green Aaen drive spring in my 2stroke Sportsman with a blue driven spring and it takes off like a rocket and slows down alot like ebs do. Brad---------96 425 magnum -K&N filter,white drive spring,blue driven spring,Jackals-----------96 400 Sportsman-Green drive spring ,blue driven spring,GBC Gators

ftwflh, do you find that the Green spring detracts a lot from the top end of your Sportsman? I started with the stock blue-green primary spring in my Xplorer, and I moved up to a white spring without much of a drop in top speed (maybe 1mph, if at all), but a nice boost in low and mid-range power. I like hard acceleration, and I've been considering a green spring, but if it's gonna knock my top speed down into the high 50's (she'll do about 65 right now), I won't be quite so interested...
