Suspension vs. Engine Mod
#21
i agree chunky, all i was saying is that i dont think a polaris can be made to handle all terrians as good as a 400ex or 250r.but then again a 400ex and a 250r cant handles some terrians that a scrambler will excell in. i was not trying to bash in no way.and i also agree that a 400 scram can out power a 400ex dollar for dollar.just that with good handling you can use the power better.dont you agree? guess it depends on what type riding you do on what is best quad,i also trail ride but i like to air it out whenever i can find a good jump on the trails i dont think a sportsman would be my fancy

So let me get this straight as far as the suspension goes. HPD is great if can shave a lot of weight off the quad. Otherwise you are better off just getting the Works Set-up or Fox Setup with the HSP dual rate spring Kit and saving a little money??? Or would HPD Set-up be the way to go no matter what???
Secondly isn't the FOX Rear Shock that HSP sales the same as what comes on the newer models???

I have the fox struts and hot seat dual rate springs and I had carver performance revalve my rear. I can tell you this. This investment was well worth the money. The handling went from ok to very good. It also saves my arms and body allot of bone jarring hits from bumps and jumps. This setup also keeps the wheels on the ground where they can be of more use then if they were bouncing arond like the stock set up.
Just my 2 cents.
