2002 Dodge Ram

I also dont care for the new style Dodge, The old style was better. Now I think the best looking truck is the Super Duty Ford, they ripped off dodges idea and made it better, more truck like. Ive owned 2 F150's and had zero problems with them and I'm pulling a 8,000 lbs trailer thru the mountains and it preformed great. A v-10 would have been better thou.

Actually, I read awhile back in a Fourwheel and Off-road magazine the new Ram design was originally thought up by some Ford guy, but I guess Ford thought it was to Big-Rig looking and didn't think it would sell....Dodge just couldn't compete with sales from GM/Chevy or Ford, and was going to stop making trucks altogether, but they decided to risk the new look and try it, and, well, I bet the Ford guys still kick each other in the a$$ for that one. If you think of it, other than a ever so slight grill (more like headlight depth) change in '93, what was the differences from the Dodges 10 years ago?

I bought my 2002 quad cab in Nov. with the 4.7 V8. It is the 2wd model. I have owned many trucks and can tell you that this truck can pull with the best of them. It has a 5 speed automatic with really helps the torque. I have pulled my boat, my fathers 20 ft Nitro bass boat, and my 14 ft trailer with furniture and 2 atvs w/o a problem. Plus I got 15 mpg while doing it. I understand if you don't like the styling as that is your choice what you like to be seen in. I also have 2 people that I work with that have the Ford quad cabs and 1 has a Chevy extended cab and my Dodge is still 2-3 inches taller than all of them. It is just nice to feel like you are in a truck instead of sitting in a SUV.
