I currently have the Clymer manual. I don't feel it is detailed enough. For example, for the oil change, they just tell you to remove the drain plug from the crankcase but do not tell you where they are located or that you have to remove the skid plate. How is the factory service manual? Is it any better? How much do they cost?

I did locate the drain plugs on my own

I have both, and find the Polaris manual to be somewhat better than the Clymer. It seems Clymer assumes you know more about where everything is than the Polaris manual does. If any special tools are needed, the Clymer seems to call it a 'Polaris tool' whereas the Polaris manual tells you to use 'tool #12345'(so you know what you need to beg/borrow/buy). Also, the Polaris manual seems to have better troubleshooting advice. I got the big, 3-ring binder that covers all machines made for the year of my Xplorer. I think it was like $35 or $40, but can't remember for sure.
