I have two 01' 400 Scramblers with HPD trail pipes (which I totally love) that have a problem with the exhaust gases leaking out where the pipe connects on to the manifold. I didn't put any high temp sealer around the rings of the manifold and think that is my problem. Just wanted to hear what some of ya'll think and if this could cause a problem somehow. Thanks in advance for any replys given.

Not sure on the trail pipe, but on the new race pipe, they don't want you to use any sealant...hence some leaking. Maybe give HPD a call and see what they do. I think they want a certain amount of flexing in that joint. RTV does stay pliable to a certain extent. As long as the performance is there, the extra little clean up might be worth it..just my 2c
