Bought a used 99 scrambler 4X4 it came with 23/8/10 489 on front and 25/10/12 589 itps on back will this do any thing to the four wheel drive also starter does not engage all the time works best after been run for awhile sounds like bendix spinning wing wing noise any help would be great

Smaller tires on the front will cause the 4WD to engage a little slower than the stock setup. It still will probably not be too noticeable. As for the starter, the spring in the bendix is worn or wearing out. You can take the bendix apart and try to clean it and maybe spray it with some WD40, but you're probably going to eventually need another one. I've seen them on Ebay from time to time.

i would definitly change the back to 22x11x10 thats the stock
i have to change my front i bought to small of front tires before i talked to anyone ad i called my polaris deler and he said it will hurt it when im in 4x4. But the front are alrght im gettin 23 again thats what came on themstock. For the back i would at all traks if you change them which you should. i paid 120 for mine see ya hope this helps
