well just put new chain and sprocket on my scrambler i put a 13t sun star and isint 13t stock for the scrambler and i bout a oring chain. I went riding today for minutes and i heard somthing in the back. One of my teeth was chiped well i didint worry about and just a few sec later another one did so at the end five teeth broke i think the chain was way to loose because wheni was in neutral it would prolly move 2 or 3 inches when i pull up on it but when i put it in Forward it would be real tight so i just left it like that does anyone no the anwer was it becasue my chain was to tight. Thanks

The chain on your 01'SC500 is not supposed to have any slack. The "concentric drive" means that you don't need hardly any play in the chain. I believe the measurement to be 3/8 of an inch free play. That is total movement up and down. When you put the machine in forward, naturally the chain goes tight. It is now connected to your running motor.
