Just checked on-line and code 6 is angle sensor faulty. If I remember correctly these are expensive, and tricky to fit as they need pre-loading on the 400AT, so watch what happens when you take the...

Exhausts can block up with carbon, or a small piece of dirt could be restricting the main jet. Also possible someone has been "messing" with the carb, altering float height or main jet etc.

There should be a VIN number somewhere, I would guess at late 1980s or 90s someone on here may be able to identify these early Suzukis. Tyres are worth more than you paid for the bike.

Try checking for a spark with the pull start. It seems quite like the "only fires when I take my finger off the start button", a common problem that nobody has the answer to. Is there an extra wire...

The ratio should work out at about 32 to 1, so when you have gone through four gallons of fuel you should have burnt a pint of oil. Jack knows far more than me about LT80s though, maybe he can add...

Test the circuits at the igniter, one wire goes from ignition switch, through kill switch, to coil positive and igniter (Kawasaki don't call it a CDI) so you need 12v from that wire with ignition on....

Like I wrote above, my theory is you get a false reading just after the engine is stopped as some oil is still running back into the sump for a while. Only exception are the fully automatic Hondas,...

Let it dry out properly. The KLF300 has the same DC ignition system as a non fuel injection car from the 1980s. A trigger coil on the outside of the flywheel provides timing. The power for the coil...

I always fill an engine after it has been stood a while. I have heard that you get a "correct" measurement with engine newly stopped but oil is going to run back down from the top for a while. So,...

Fairly sure they will. The 300 wheels have cut-outs for the red plug, not sure if the 420 ones do, as there isn't a red plug on 420s, but I always adjust brakes with the front wheel off anyway.
