Need help on a rubicon

Default Need help on a rubicon

..hi everyone I'm new to this site..I have a 2001 Honda Rubicon 500 hondamatic.. the machine acts like it's stuck in high gear..I have replaced the shift angle sensor,,shift motor,,oil change..reset code procedure,. The shift motor will not initialize but one time and manual said it's suppose to do it three times...any help would be greatly appreciated..I've seen alot of these questions but really no answer..thanks in advance

Did you preload angle sensor?

Yes..speedo works and I preloaded the sensor..cleared all codes...codes 5 will pop back up but can cut switch off then back on and no code

Plus the shift motor will not initialize

If it is a new shift motor, and you know it is good, my guess would be a problem with the power supply to it, i.e, it isn't getting power on the green/red and orange wires from ECU to motor. Another possibility is a mechanical fault, something stuck, so the motor can't turn the mechanism. Try changing gear with the motor out of the gearbox, if the motor spins, then you probably have something jammed.
