First thing that jumps out at me is how is the front ski not going to spin in circles

yes i know.. but one good bump or jump and that ski is still going to spin around on the rider

Was wondering that too. I've seen limiting straps on that type of setup before to keep the skis from rotating. One jump and a ski pointing downward could ruin your day. I like the idea of it. Even saw a MX bike with a track and ski.

I think you'd be better off just leaving stock wheels and tires on the front since its a 2wd. You need the tracks for the traction on the rear.

The skis should have more contact than a tire and have better flotation.

I was thinking it might be a good idea to apply the front brakes a mite. Looks like it would be a hoot, actually!

No way to put just the front brakes on that I know of.

Put flotation tires like you would use on sand for the front and those would probably work in snow too. This looks cool but I'm not sure how well it would actually work. With the skis on front, you basically have no front brakes.
