Default Possible CDI unit failure

I have a 1982 Odyssey(FL250). Ran good last time out 20+ years ago. Has a VERY weak spark. Wont start. Used starting fluid in carb, and cylinder and not even a pop or sputter. Coil checks out good, magnito checks out good too. Should I just buy a CDI unit, or is there a way to test it out with using a multi-meter?
Thanks David

Don't know the Odysey but those 1980s 200ES three wheelers seem to have a poor spark but run OK on it. The air gap on the trigger coil is a bit critical on them, you usually have to go for the minimum to get them to run.
