Hello, I am an old hunter, outdoor person. I have a 1994 Polaris 400 4x4, that I bought brand new. Could anyone tell me if I can upgrade the brake lines to the newer mesh type and use banjo bolts with bleeders in them? The machine runs like a bear, and it has served me well, but I am afraid of the metal lines...

Welcome to the forums. Only way on up grading the lines is to have them made or try to use later model cables off a different machine, but length would be one problem.Brake lines appear to still be obtainable if you wanted to go that way and replace any worn line.Polaris ATV Parts 1994 W948039 SPORTSMAN 4X4 CONTROLS Diagram Or you can have them made up.Brake Hose-stainless steel braided

I have seen on sites, used stainless braided lines, all the lines plus the center block, from later 400 's, mine have screwing fittings on the end of the lines, but the one's I have seen need banjo bolts, could I interchange them for the screwin fittings. What screw thread size are the banjo bolts compared to the end of line fittings?
