Remove it, sand it or abrade it, prime and paint it. There are paints and primers that work ok. My Arctic Cat 700 came painted from the factory.

Never, ever paint a quads plastic, the factory may have some "special" paint that works, nothing I have seen does, even the camo that factories now use, comes off, I recon that is done by the new water dip "wrap" process anyway. Vinyl wrap does work, unless you scratch through it.

I have never tried improving fading with heat, but have "welded" cracks with an electric blowlamp, and you have to be very careful not to overdo it.

I paint plastics all the time. I've been a professional boat builder since 1976. It's all about the prep. I don't know what Arctic Cat uses, but it holds up really well, Here's my 2014 TRV, still shiny as a bottle. While most paints won't stick to the polyethylene type plastics, there are special primers that will, I believe. I guess we need a spy to go into one of the factories that paint their plastics, haha

Maybe its just me but I never even cared if the plastic faded. I'm just happy to have the plastic in one piece for the most part lol. I had a mishap over the summer in my Brute and got a tear in my right front fender when I laid in on its side and scraped the ground. I just drilled a few holes and zip tied it back together. I was just trying to stop it from tearing and it worked. Cosmetics just aren't that important to me unless it was a brand new machine, then it might be a little different.
