Impressive but you have to take horse power to weight in each machine. I'm too old to drive either one though so my comment doesn't count.. Putting a calculator to what I think each one weighs, dividing by hp, does looks like the Subaru did have the hp advantage.. Either one still to fast for this old guy.

Impressive, but if I'm going that fast I want to be sitting in a steel cage.

Scrambler 1000 is probably the fastest production atv built now and one of the fastest ever. I would like to see it go head to head with a Renegade 1000 though, I think it would be a very close race. I actually thought the Subaru had more hp, more like 300 hp instead of 200.
Ok I did find a Scrambler 1000 vs Renegade 1000 vid while watching this one
Renegade is slightly quicker and wins a short drag. Scrambler has slightly more top end and wins in a longer drag race is basically what I get out of the video. It seems the Scrambler also has more of a tendency to wheelie on take off, which is probably why the Renegade beats it on the short run.

They both will wheelie easily. Crazy power. Got to really put your weight forward to keep the front tires on the ground. Pretty much equals in my book.

By far the scariest thing is corners. You really have to keep your weight forward before you blip the throttle to get the rear to kick out. If you don't the power just lifts up the front end and you go straight. Makes you pay attention.

My local dealer had a 2013 Scrambler 850 on their sales floor. I was tempted to give it a test ride the last time I was there. Not quite as much power but still would be the fastest thing I would have ever been on. The $6499 asking price made me not take buying it too seriously though. That's a lot for a used quad, especially one with 3165 miles on it.

Going fast on a utility quad does nothing for me. Its a work quad, not a racer.
