Default 2003 sportsman no electrical power

Hey guys. Had a great may 24 long weekend. Put 50 hard miles on my old sportsman had 0 problems all weekend. Pulled it off my truck bed on monday night noticed the lights were dim. I shut it off and went to bed. Next day i went to start it and there is no power at all. I replaced a breaker a while ago and it was fine. All the breakers are free lf moisture and are not corroded. I jumped all the breakers with a screw driver and still no electrical power. I cleaned away alot of the mud from near the battery to check the starter solenoid and noticed a little grey wire that was broken. There was a little white wire with a red stripe next to it going into the solenoid. I cleaned the terminals on the solenoid and checked the voltage at the exiting end of the solenoid and there was no power. My question is that little grey wire hook up to the ignition? I wanna go riding next weekend. Thanks guys

Default Hmm

Well mines differrent its a sealed unit. It has a black ground wire and a red power wire comming out of it. Then it has a white wire with an red stripe. I found this little grey wire comming out of the same harness as the white and red wire. I forgot to mention i have a new ignition switch i installed last year and i also cleaned the emergency kill switch.

Default Fixed!

So that little grey wire that broke i tried grounding it to the frame... no dice. I then cleaned the main power terminals on the solenoid and found what looked like a washer. It was the wire lead connector that broke off the little grey wire. Spliced on a new connector hooked it up to the entry side of the solenoid and it fired right up! I hate it when people have problems and dont post the fix so it can help other people. So cheers guys have a safe and fun summer
