Default Raptor 660 siiting for 5 years

I have a 2001 raptor 660 i bought on craigslist a while back that would always drain the battery, and some times have trouble starting. The guy i bought it from told me he rebuilt it with a lot of aftermarket parts and when i asked what all he did to it he really couldnt seem to give me a straight answer, but he claims it has too much compression for the battery and that he had recently changed the stator, so that couldnt be the issue.

Anyways i let the bike sit in my garage for about 5 years, and on top of that my dogs chewed alot stuff up on the bike. Now i want to fix it so i buy a used oem wiring harness and cdi from 2002, two starter relays from ebay just in case one is no good, a new battery that is supposed to be strong enough for rebuilt high compression raptors, i bought a used oem stator off ebay that came off a running bike, i have the oil and oil filter, new spark plug, new chain, all this new stuff to fix it.

My main issue im having right now is trying to decide what to do about my radiator. The radiator has been sitting with hose water for 5 years and there is a lot of rust in there, i will post a picture, my question is can i flush this radiator with Prestone radiator flush + cleaner from AutoZone, or should i buy a new radiator? Is there any chane it could damage anything?

I know i will probably run into a couple other issues along the way, im not too experienced when it comes to this but i dont want to pay someone to help me fix it.

Your radiator should be OK as long as the water didn't freeze. Just watch out for overheating when you first start to use it. I would be more worried about what the plain water has done inside the engine, aluminium engines can corrode badly in the water passages, without the inhibitors you get in anti-freeze. With the carb, I would try it. If the bike runs OK, leave the carb alone.

Flush the whole system, then fill with the correct type of anti-freeze mixture. Quad makers don't seem to have gone to strange expensive anti-freezes yet, but check, just in case Yamaha specify "long life" or other overpriced stuff.
