I'm having issues with a loss of power at low RPM. I got the bike a few mo. Ago and replaced all the seals and gaskets. The head and piston was in great condition. I've moved the needle up and down and nothing. It screams at high RPM but bogs bad at takeoff. I'm thinking of a carb rebuild but don't know what size jet to get. It has pro circuit pipes, boysen Reed's, k&n filter with no airbox, ported and polished and board out to what size idk I didn't check when I cracked it open. Oops. Any ideas on jet size. Also thinking of rebuild on power valve. Its a stock flat side carb Thank guys

LT80 will know more than me, but if a two stroke has been tuned wildly, all the power comes in at a certain RPM with nothing below it. Had a Banshee in for brake problems and found it almost un-rideable, had to rev it's nuts off before dropping clutch, and keep the throttle open or it would die. I assume someone had been tuning it.

Yeah...Jack's advice is solid...eliminate any non-carb issues. Almost impossible to give jetting advice on modified motors...only because there are levels to porting and head decking...from mild to wild...
If it runs fine at WOT I'd do a plug chop and check the plug color...just to make sure you're not running lean there...
I need to ask a question...Did it loose power since you've had it or does it feel like it has no low end grunt from when you got it? I ask because 2-strokes can be ported to be high-end screamers (high port motor) or low-end grunters (low port motor), but without a power valve (just an exhaust port modifier), you can't have both...
