Default 2003 Polaris Sportsman 700 loose front cv axle

Hello,

I am going to link a video to an ATV I'm working on. Before I dug in to it, I thought it was the u joints. When I hold the end going into the differential, the u joint is tight and has no play. This machine has 5,500 miles. Is this normal? is it something that should be fixed? If so, how? a new differential?

Thanks for any help

Should I look into replacing a bearing or would the whole differential need to be replaced? I just want to weigh the options.

If I let this go on without servicing it, how long before something major breaks because of it?
