1988 Honda TRX250X
So I recently bought a 1988 Honda TRX250X, and I absolutely love it. The only issue, is some days I really struggle to kick start it, I mean I'm out there like 20 minutes kicking and nothing, sometime I just bump start it. My question is, is there a tune up or some sort of tweaking I could do to it to make the kick start a little easier? Or what have others done besides bump start? Really debating on just selling it since it's a hassle for me on the kick start.

Check compression, if it is below 90psi, it will be bad to start. If it is low, it could just be valve clearances needing setting, or it could be needing new rings or a re-bore. If compression is OK, is the choke working properly? A faulty choke or slightly weak mixture due to dirt in the carb jets can also cause bad starting.
