So.. i got my hands on a 250cc 2 cylinder, Lifan ATV.

I've had a hard time figuring out, which exact model, but the closest i get is a "LC250 Viking"... Runs and drives..

Anywhow. The cluster has an "R" light, that lights up whenever i shift down from 1st, - neutral - R..
but i get nothing. Still neutral.

The wiring is a mess, and i am starting to wonder, If some wiring to the gearbox, is needed for the reverse to engage..
i have a cable with 6 very(!) thin wires coming from around the gear/gear-pedal.
they go to a connector, that only leads 2 of those wire, on to front.
When i unplug that.. plug, the R-light dies, so that's probably all those 2 wires do..

So help me out... Does anyone have one, the same as mine ? How do you engage reverse ? Does anyone have a wiring diagram ?

Do i even have a reverse gear, or is it somehow just.. "prepared for reverse retrofit"... Something??

Hello, I’ve got a 250cc atv as well and same 2 wires go from the 6 pin that comes out of the engine, did you figure out how to put in reverse?

Looked everywhere online and can’t seem to find an answer.

Hello, I have very similar quad with 250cc jetmoto engine with the same 6 wires coming out and going into the 2 wires that are connected. The issue I have is same as yours where I cannot go into reverse, did you fix it yet? If so, can you please let me know how you did it! Thanks!
