DO YOU THINK 4 STROKES ARE EASIER TO DO WHEELIES ON OR 2 STROKES?? I USE TO HAVE A BLASTER AND COULD ONLY DO ONE IN SECOND AND COULD NOT RIDE THEM THAT WELL. ive ridden a 400ex, z-400, 250 ex and were all easy for me to do extended wheelies.

 

I don't know how long it's been since you had your blaster but maybe you're more experienced now and that would help. The main reason the four strokes wheelie better is with the bigger bore (more cc's) they have quite a bit more torque than a two stroke. Everyone knows most two strokes rev faster and have a very fast top end but the four strokes have a very good low end and the torque enables you to pull the wheels pretty much anytime you want. If you find your sweet spot on a four stroke you can hold your wheelie as long as you want. I like how you don't have to drop the clutch on a four stoke to bring the front end up just tap the gas on the bigger four strokes and your front is off the ground, God bless.

 

IMO 4 Strokes are much easier to wheelie than 2 Strokes.

Mudslinger, it's not the big bore 4-stroke engine, it is the smooth low end power, I have a 250r and an atc 125m, I have a hard time wheeling the r but the little atc comes up in any gear.

 

Thats exactly right!
The 4-strock is more perdickable and you can control the power better

 

4 strokes is a lot easier to get it up and stay up

Can you do a pretty decent wheelie on your r or is it really really hard.

 

The wheelies on the R are better described as involentary.

The problem is that it happens too fast. Maybe I'm just getting old, I could wheely a fourstroke like no ones business, the R just comes up too fast and when it does come up you are going pretty fast. I am 35 and can't afford wiping out on a 60 mph wheelie. It is effortless though.
