I was in Oregon earlier this month riding at Winchester Bay, while we were in the back area climbing
up a really & tall wicked sand dune the you have to slice in and out of trees on the way up to the top.
When all of sudden a guy with one arm come flying up the hill on his new Green VFORCE 700. He was
a very good rider & wasn't afraid to tackle anything. I was very impressed. I just thought this was a very inspiring story.

Waaaay back, about 1980, I was riding a 250 MX Yamaha and a buddy wanted to go ride with Alan Butler. He was a guy in our school (we were graduated by then) who'd lost his right arm at the shoulder in a well drilling accident. I said okay, probably a leisurely ride but what the heck. Ol' Alan jumps on his big bore 2 stroke Yammy, left hand throttle converted & all, and just wheel stands that thing and passes me with a big ol' grin, like come on junior let's go! He rode our butts off all day. It was great fun and inspiring. He died a few years later in a car crash. Real shame.
