V-Force: Jumping?

Hey guys,

In the next couple of months, I'll be buying either a KFX 400 or a VForce. I have a question for the VForce owners. With this bike being as heavy as it is, can you jump this monster? Does it take it okay? I'm just concerned with the weight and all.

Thanks a lot for all who provide input.

one last quick question...green or orange??? whats your guys favorite

Well, lucky for you I can give my advice as a totally unqualified, never-ridden-a-V-Force blabbermouth.

I sat on those things though, and they are really big. Whoa, big. BIG. If you're taking little jumps, a few feet, go for it. If you want MUCH air, ya better stay to the light side on a 400.

Oh and I like those new splatter colors on the V force

I ride a z-400 and went riding with a V this past weekend. He let me take it for a spin. That thing was BIG!!!

I did get a bit of air, but it was tough.

The thing is big, I really don't think it was made for jumping, turning or descending hills.

It's a good "moseying" quad. If you want to jump, get the much sportier 400. If you don't ever want to have to shift and are willing to sacrifice some handling and all around nimbleness, then get the V.

Another thing I didn't like was how wide the seat was. I felt like I was spreading my legs for a ball whacking. If I owned one of these I might get a cup.

Well, as a qualified, been-riding-a-v-force blabbermouth, I guess I'll give you my opinion also. The farthest I've jumped my V is 37 feet and yes, it was scarry. The thought of that beast landing on me is a little unnerving. It actually takes medium sized jumps well and is a great trail bike. i would not recommend the V force for mx type of riding but it everything else very well. As far as the size thing, you would be surprised at how easy this thing is to toss around and after a little bit of seat time it does not feel big at all. The kfx400/Z400 would be a better choice if your planning on racing mx, but I feel for all other type of riding, the V is the way to go. Good luck with your decision.

Oh yes, welcome to the sanitarium!

You can jump the v-force just like any other sport Quad. I was jumping my -vforce up to 50ft. I got new elka shocks from santa, I jumped 81ft today on a medium step up jump, the landing was like jumping into a pillow. Its all in the riders ability and how big the set of balls you rented for the day! I can say it was 81ft be cause I took my 100ft tape to the track with me.
