Piped both is a different story, but stock the raptor beats it in top speed, it also beats the YFZ. And yes brad, the predddy does beat both too. And also, kawasaki never said anything about coking out with a new 450 did they? I know suzuki is but notkawa.

 

as ive said before none of the quads 450 and up are even noticably faster. when someone says the raptor goes 74 and the 450s go less, which magazine are u getting this from? who here has actually passed either 450 with a raptor or predator for top speed? i remember racing a stock banshee with my stock 450r and sometimes the 450 pulled away and sometimes the banshee did in top gear. it was very wierd, but just shows conditions and rider make a huge difference. infact sometimes they seemed even, so it prolly depends when the rider shifts to top gear, his body position, what ever they are all too close to claim either is faster then the other stock

 

i rode both, they were both stock. maybe in a drag race the raptor would eventuall get it becasue of 6 th gear but it accelerates alot slower than the 450r in stock trim

 

So is reverse the magical 6th gear in the raptor? I guess I got jipped cause my raptor only had 5 forward gears.

ight dirt wheels jus did a test on raptor vs predator.. top speeds were raptor 73 and predator 74.7 reverse gear was raptor 12 predator 18.. ight i have previous experience on a raptor, predator, and ds. i own the ds. my friends on the others.. its an 04 ds 650 baja x. the predator is a 04 troy lee design. and the raptor is an 05.. ight top speeds the ds has the win.. bottom end the ds and the raptor are the same and the predator lacks bottom end but makes up for it in mid range. the predator and raptor never raced but i raced both of them and top end the predator gave me more of a challange.. i got a rev box, pipe, air filter, radiator scoops, ac nerf/heel/foot pegs, hole shot hd tires.. but when we raced they were all stock .. well.. the raptor had a air filter.

there may be a 6 speed rappy, but raptors are 5 speeds

But the 01 models are 4 speeds, 2 and 4 dont work.
