ok i have an 03 Z-400 and i need to know what size to go with and what kind of tire for my conditions.
i ride in mud, snow, hard/soft pack, rocks, muskeg, creek crossings, hills, where i ride it has a little bit of everything so i need to know what size and what type.
i have been looking at the bear claws and the super swampers. but i have no clue as to what size.
i need to know ASAP
thanxs Ryan

umm i would not go any bigger than 22 inch tire, that is 2 inchs bigger than stock, i had some 22 in mudlites on my kfx awhile back and i could go places i couldnt dream of with the stockers, and not much of a power loss with the lighter aftermarket rims i bought.
Bear claws would probley be ok, but i think the SS would be to heavy, depending on how u ride.
But take a look at the mudlites they are a nice light tire.

The Z is a nice light bike, with a nice light feel. You put big heavy tires on it, and it's going to lose that feel! Why turn a nice sport bike into a utility???
For desert racing, the hot setup is supposedly Holeshot XCT's (23" front/22" back). Tried them for a while, but they just made the bike to tall and clumsy. Went back to Holeshot XC's (22" front/20" rear). With a good skid plate, I can just slide over a rock if I need to.

yeah you can run whatever. they all handle differnt though. like my buddy said when he got his new tires.
"Man I woulda Never Guessed Tires make that much of a difference, Its not even the same bike anymore"
Stock tires suck, plain and simple I have only tried the various holeshots and razr or razr2 and I The ITP makes the best handling tire. But other people like their kendas.
