Drill holes in airbox lid lakota sport.
Would it be a good idea to drill small holes in my airbox cover on my lakota, for more air flow because if you know the lakota or mojave it's not to smart to drive around with the airbox lid off because it's on the side of the quad and the filter can fall out. So considering i have a high performance pipe if i take in air quicker with the hole drilled out with the pipe i can get it out just as fast so i would gain some performance. Would it be wise and what can happen that's bad for the quad. They would be small so not any water would really get in and i don't ride in wet conditions to much so is it worth it or should i keep it the way it is now with the twin air in the stock airbox.

Well the best thing to do is a clamp on,which i've seen your looking into. However if not, take your hood off and the airbox cover under the hood take it off so your airbox opening is wide open,it will get a little better airflow, but you need a good aftermarket filter (twin air may be good enough) and you'll just need to clean more often.

Well i would buy a K&N airfilter if i were to drill hole in my airbox even though they don't make them for me i'll buy a mojave one. But i don't really want to take off the whole airbox lid because i do want it protected some what that's why i was thinking of the holes in the airbox.
