My friend is thinking about getting one of these quads. He mostly rides dunes and some trails and a little bit of track which one is the best quad for him. Also which has most horsepower and fastest acceleration. Any of them that will be keeping up with banshees?

Dunes-YFZ
Trails- Raptor (almost tie for TRX but rap has reverse)
MX- YFZ
Drag- there all fast enough [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] its just whos riding it

If you have some well [engine] modified banshees, no way you'll be able to keep up stock with any of those bikes.

HP... YFZ=~40 Raptor=~35 TRX=~40?
Acceleration....I'd tip my hat to the YFZ.

The only way to decide is ride them all. I am sure by now we all now which quad is best for specific terrain. If he mostly rides dunes... he should just get a used built up banshee. Nothing can compare for dunes.

with the riding he will be doing, i say the YFZ hands down.

whats nice in the dunes bout the raptor, is the torque curve. power anywhere you want it, which is nice up those long hills. the yzf has more horse power then the raptor, but i find the raptor is the best for all of the things you listed.

Ill say that the YFZ has the fastest acceleration, and the R next to it, the YFZ does have a stiff suspension when going slow, but yamaha said it was fixed for the 05'. The YFZ also is more of a mx quad. The raptor of all these three is no where close the 450's in mx, but in the dunes it's crazy because of the torque it has. And the stock 450's could keep up with piped banshees, but the raptor struggles more. I wont specify my keep because it's pretty hard to choose, it's all up to him.
