What is better 2000 300EX or 2000 Blaster??

The blaster is cheaper and faster in stock form than the EX, but the EX has a bit of advantage when it comes to performance mods when you get used to the power that the stock motor provides. It is also a bit larger than the blaster in case you are over 6' tall.

what you need to do is ride both, but just a test ride will not tell you the whole story. a blaster is a whole new bike with the right mods. so basically you should get the 300ex if you A. need reverse B. like 4 strokes, or c.is over 5'10
But the blaster is quiker, funner, lighter, and easier to modify. And much much cheaper.

Well guys I made the choice a long time ago. I decided to get a 300EX seeing how I was coming off a quadsport. I am very happy with my choice. Personally I hate the team grean Mojave's. I liked them better when they were white. I also ride with a 2000 Blaster so I know what that they can do. Thankx

I'ld have to vote on the 300EX for trails, I've ridden both, and there is no competition.
Just a thought... What do Blasters(as in the profession) do?
BLOW THINGS UP!!!!
Not a good analogy for this little 2-stroke Yamaha.
sorry, couldn't resist.

A 300ex would be better because it is a 4 stroke which is better for trail riding.when it is a four stroke the spark plug will not fowel. Unfortunatly I can't say the same for the blaster which is a two stroke. In my opinion the blaster is a cheep thing that breakes down. the worst thing, but ok is the oil injector. The oil injector does not get enough oil to the engine. Plus on the 300ex it is a four stroke, so you don't have to worry.

the blaster costs $2999!!! the same price as mine was in 1998! it's bullet proof but not dufus proof i used mine HARD for 18 mths.then i sold it for 2grand and it was in perfect shape with the original plug IT NEVER "NEVER" fouled a plug. it never "NEVER" hinted at piston sieze. and the oiler, if anything, oils too much. If I get to where i can afford it, I'll buy another one.

I would go with the 300EX for trail riding but only because it is a four stroke. If you wanted the faster machine go with the Blaster but it will be hard to do anything with it in really rocky and technical sections. If you want more power and a four stroke get a Warrior or if you want the baddest four stroke right now get the 400EX(note that I didnt say DS650 because they are too freaking big)as for the 300EX beating a Warrior on a track that is a lie because they dont come nowhere near me and all mine has is a Barnett Clutch and Razr rear tires.
