Has anyone heard any new rumors on a new Yamaha sport quad? I'm on a '90 Warrior and the dust is getting thick from my buddy's 400ex. I may have to switch to Honda if big blue doesn't wake up and smell the roost!

I always hear rumors, I'll keep my eyes posted at work(dealership).

our rep came into the dealership the other day and we started talkin about it and he gave us a little hint "we also have a 660 dual sport bike motor from europe to work with" so who knows they need somethin to go after that new bambadier

"Something to work with"?!? In other words, no there will not be a new Sport Quad released by Yamaha within the next 2 years. Why a European motor? What ever happened to the YZF 400? I think Yamaha is content on staying at the top of the horsepower chart with the awesome Banshee until someone can actually challenge them, someone like Bombardier possibly. Should be an interesting new millinium for us ATV'ers.

40% of all quads are sold in California. Mid way though the year 2000, California is passing a law that prohibits the sale of every two-stroke motor in the state. New emmissions laws are being enforced. So Yamaha better step up and do something, because the Banshee will no longer be for sale in the one state that it has to be in. Califonia. Bye Bye Banshee, it was fun while it lasted.
