Default Basically new rider, which one should I get?

Hi, I am looking at either a 08 yfz 450 or 07 Honda 400ex. I mainly do trail riding and I also jump. I would defiantly go with the yfz, but reading stories I hear that they are very high maintenced. I have ridden a lot, but pretty new to race quads, I ride my friends yfz and seem to do just fine with it. I do not know if the yfz will break down and need a lot of maintence. How often will I need to change the oil and how much less maintence does the 400 need. I just wanted to see if you guys could help me.
Thanks.

I personally am new as well. I did a lot of research before I bought mine. If you want low maintenance... Honda is the way to go. I have a trx 250...perfect for me.
