whats up .
you can check if the crank has side to side and up and down play.....
when i did my crank.. it was cuz my crank seals went bad.... so rather then fool around i did the bearings also and had the crank welded and balanced. i got the bearings at a bearing wholesaler way cheaper than suzuki ( and i even got the same make that was in the bike)
i have the sizes if you want them.. form suzuki like 45-50 bucks... form the place i got them was $18.00 for both.... and as far as spliting the case... not to bad (if your good with tools) if you use the book ... i did it 2 winters ago.... my bike is running great......(fresh top end last summer) but the bottom end seems fine....
hope this helps...

i checked the rod when it was apart it seemed fine.
this is how i checked the crank i yanked in and out/forward and back on the crank gear and it dosnt budge at all. but when i did that on the CB there was a little play. but when i put the CB back in there was no play but still vibrated. so im trying the cheaper method first i ordered some OEM CB bearings and see if that helps. i was told to always put OEM in the engine because there of better quality but whi knows
the CB has no bearings ridges or blueing so i assume thats in good shape. it just sucks i busted butt all saturday and fired her up and it vibrated but we will see this saturday i guess.
i spent $3500 2 years ago on a honda 250r then widened it and replaced alot of stuff and spent over $6500.00 my plan was to try to widen this one and keep it under the price of a used 250r but have it almost all rebuilt. but the budget is dwindling
