2003 is the first model of Z400's, yet they came out in 2002. It's kinda like the video games like they will come out with a game called NBA 2005, even though it is only 2003.

it is my understanding that the z400 was released summer of 2002 as a 2003 model.

really they are 2002.5

The early models had axle problems.
