im in the process of rebuilding a 85 r and i was wondering what are the best mods i could get from it and will any parts from later years fit on the 85? thanks

get a pipe , reeds, clamp on K&N air filter and take off the air box put holeshot MX tires all the way around and it will move!!!

IM ALSO WORKING ON A 85'.I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT NOT ALOT COMPANYS(trinty,ct,and others)DONT WORK ON THE 85-86 MOTORS.YOUR BEST BET IS TO TAKE IT TO A GOOD MACHINE SHOP AND GET THE CYLINDER A GOOD PORT AND POLISH AND A BIGGER BORE.AND A BIGGER CARB AND SOME NEW REEDS WITH A GOOD PIPE AND YOULL BE SET.I CAN KEEP UP WITH BUILT SHEES WITH NO PROB........LET ME KNOW ABOUT THE PROGRESS ON YOUR LT OWDE.GOOD LUCK!!!!
