For all you Eiger 400 4x4 owners, how do you like your bikes???
I am looking into getting my first 4 wheeler and I have it narrowed down to a couple. The Eiger 400 4x4 auto, the Arctic Cat 400 4x4, the Yamaha Wolverine, and Yamaha Kodiak 400 4x4 auto. I'm wondering what your thoughts, experiences, problems have been with your Eiger or any of the ones I mentioned that I'm also considering. I have a couple other posts out in a couple different forums, but I hope this thread attracks someone that may not look in the other forums.
THanks in advance for your time.

I have a 2003 Eiger that I bought last september. I has been great so far. After I got it my neighbor and my nephew both bought one. My nephew and I both have the 5 speeds and my neighbor has the auto. I think the 5speed is a little better machine because when we are riding together the auto always sounds louder, like the engine has to rev higher to climb hills and rough trials. None off the three have had any problems thou so I guess its just user preference.
Good luck on your choice!

I love mine. Fun and easy to ride. It goes everywhere that I want to go, will easily run 110 miles on a 4 gallon tank of gas, can play utility, can play sport ute.
There are bikes that are a few mph faster.
There are bikes with a few cc's more engine.
There are bikes with an inch or two more suspension.
There are bikes that cost a lot more.
'Nuff said.

Same here on a no problem ride on my 2003 5speed Eigher. I've never had any problem with it and am most pleased. I did look at the automatic when I was thinking about a new 4wheeler but went with the 5 speed. Not sorry that I did.
Side note:
Jaybee... I see you have your machine bored .20 over. If I might ask, was there a problem and you had to rework the engine?
All well,
