Sorry to hear that, Hillwarrior. How'd that happen, jumping? Where exactly did it crack?

 

i rode the ditches by my house. it was probably only about 2 miles there and back.but i did jump a few driveways.i didnt even know it broke till i got home.it cracked on the motor side right where the foot peg bolts on to the frame.it will set me back but im not going to give up on the old thing!!!!

 

Do you think you can weld and gusset your frame? I saw a frame on ebay going for around $200.

 

well thats what i was thinking about doing.i think there is a few companies that sell a gusset kit for the lt.ill have to look into that.but ill have to start taking it apart this weekend...........[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

i have at least 4 cracks i just welded on this rebuild. i made gussets and welded it back together. cracks happen on all bikes just have to get used to it [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

Let me know what you find out there for a gusset kit and where you got it. Sounds like a good idea.

 

yea i have a 92 lt and it cracked in the same place that sucks.

will mine cracked in the same place and i welded it back and put a solid steel bar across the bottom of the frame and its never broke since.
