The LT 500 is almost the exact opposite of a banshee. More low-end torque than you know what to do with! The question of trail rideability is a good one. With so much torque it makes a powerful trail ride, but the downside is that the LT 500 is BIG. Have you ever sat on one? The thought of trying to take a LT 500 out on some tight trails is kinda scary. Picture a tractor! They are better dune machines and the basis for many high performance hill shooters. Another problem is the turning radius. Not very tight for any real trail riding.

I used to be enamored with the LT 500 R, but after riding one and realizing just how big they are, I have decided against buying one. I do a mixture of both trail and dunes so i will keep my LT 250 R for the trails and buy an ATC 250 R three wheeler to beat the banshees AND LT 500 R's at the dunes!

Ride hard,

RoostKing...

I was just wondering on the 500r's ridability in the trails. Does it create a lot of torque and low end? Or is it more of a big bore banshee?

Thanks,

jason
