i am thinking about picking up a Quadracer. the guy selling it only wants $200-$300. before all you guys pee in your pants & start yelling Buy it! i would like to ask a few questions about the LT.

here are my questions:
1. how can i tell what year it is?
2. where on the frame should i look 4 cracks?
3. is the electrical part hard to work with?
3. what other kind of were & tear thing should at besides tires, bearing/bushings?
4. how reliable are LT's?
5. is their anything i should look 4?

i'm 90% sure i'm going to pick it up. thanks 4 any help.

Much Aloha,

look at another part of this forum for a discussion on the differences distinguishing the different years.
as for what to look for, underneath the quad: look for any cracked joints where the tubing meets. any tubes bent in unusual ways...from harsh landings, bent a-arms... etc.
i had a friend crack his frame at the upper frint shock mounts once. my brothers is cracked on the back side of the upper steering shaft mount, his steering shaft is twisted slightly (enough to knock paint off) from a nasty crash, not to mention...it was not running. put the swing arm on a block grab the rear axle to see about play in the bearings there and in the rear suspension. this could be costly repairing.
