Sorry guys, the blaster is quicker. I have a Z250 and hubby a blaster 03 (reed valves) on a straight he gets me everytime! Not by much though. Once he puts the Bill's on that I bought him for Christmas he will probably leave me behind. Do not forget the 20 kg weight difference in the two ATVs. Also I have bought the computer / speedo from Rockymountain so once it arrives I will be able to give you more accurate speeds.

this is getting tireing, who wants to come down and drag me on my vinson, i will demolish you yamicka blaster, my vinny goes 72, radar gun(stalker), and gps confirmed. it is simple, a 200cc 2 stroke fires 2x as many times as a 4 stroke, therefore produceing more power than a 4stroke 250. thats like saying a mojave 250, and a quadracer 250 are the same speed, lmao. it is just not possible. you are compareing apples to oranges. the blaster rides like it is on marbles all the time, yet can be modded to race, hence the manule clucth, and 2 stroke.

 

all I have to say is... WHO CARES. I have a z250 and I dont care how fast it goes or even if it will beat a blaster all that i know is that is fast enough for me and i have a blast riding it regardless if it goes 53,54,55 or 36 mph. Even if I know a blaster would beat me i would still line up with him just for the fun of racing him.I mean look at all the differences blaster-chain drive,6 speed,manual clutch,2-stroke
Z250-shaft drive, 5 speed,auto-clutch,4stoke they are two totally different machines and each one suits its own rider.
when you stop having fun is the only time you should worry about whats faster because then you are searching to buy a new quad.

 

thats a good point, well said. i was just askin if the blaster was faster cause my friend has one and i was just wonderin if i had a chance against him with my z, i didnt kno that for me askin that one question that it would turn into a whole arguement, but o well.

 

well my ozark can keep up with a completly stock blaster the whole way he lost me by about 2 quads, z-bigger titanium valves, lighter=faster

 

Kids these days. They always think THERE quad is beter. Even if the other one is 10 times beter.......

 

a blasters top speed is about 55.. a z250.. i have no clue.. but even if it was 55.. the blaster would get there way quicker and the Z would never catch it.. so every1 shut it who thinks a Z would win because i know everything.

My quad is the best their is no other quad faster then mine!! because i own a banshee... j/k lol

 

titanium valves? sorry the z250 doesn't have those. the valves on the z250 aren't even bigger than the ozarks valves. the only differences between the z250 motor and the ozark 250 motor is that the z has a lighter crankshaft and a slightly higher compression ratio. that results in the z250 revving a little bit quicker and probably producing 0.5 hp more than the ozark motor.
