rear tires for z400
I was lookin to get some new rear tires for my z400. I will be riding trails and also be doing quite a bit of riding on the local track. I was wondering what tires you guys would recomend. Also, what are the advantages/disadvantges with going to a larger tire than the stock 20's that are on it?

razor 2's, or itp holeshots are the best. the razor 2's have more a tuff tread, and dont ware down as easily as the holeshots. if you put bigger tires+ rims on it, it will give a little more ground clearence, which is better for trails and not the track. im in the same situation, i doing half trails and half track . hope this helps.

I just got the regular Holeshots in the back and the Hole Shot XC's in the front... a nice combo for both on and off the track
Holeshot XCR's = HEAVY'er
Advantages/Disadvantges going to a larger tire than the stock 20's that are on it = Taller tires = less bottem end, more top end... meaning with a larger tire you would loose a little speed on exceleration, but once you got up to speed you would get moving a lot faster. Smaller tires = less top end, more bottom end... meaning with a smaller tire, or stock size tire, you get faster exceleration than larger tires, but may be 2-5MPH less on top speed then if you had larger tires.
Basically if you're riding in the trails you're probably using more 1st and 2nd, sometimes 3rd and you'll want to stay close to stock size for bottom end speed/power/exceleration. If you've always got the thing wide open in 5th on straigh-a-ways then go with taller tires, like 22" or something and you'll pick up a few more MPH's on the top end speed.
I like my combo, 4-ply in the back and 6-ply in the front, but the 6-ply still isnt really that heavy and I think I need more ply in the front because I tend to hit $h!t in the trails all the time... like big rocks! and have poped stock tire once.
