Tap and coil it or replace that part of the motor.

helicoil will do the trick, one step up from the threads you have.

thanks for the replys....
i ordered a new plate,plug,O-ring $27.41..i just hope it's the right part# 16523-24501 for the plate..
going to re tap the old plate and keep it..
