Default will gas stabilizer hurt anything?

I took delivery of a 2004 Eiger last Tuesday and brought it home, drove it 50 ft to my shed and haven't touched it since. It has been so cold that I haven't even started it since bringing it home. My question is should I top off the tank and add gas stabilizer? it is supposed to be above freezing Thursday for one day then drop again and stay very cold for a while. will the stabilizer hurt anything during the break-in period? Thanks

absolutely not, add it if you won't be riding it for 3 months.

You should be just fine without it.Gas takes several months to go sour.If you leave it for a month or so just top the tank off with some fresh gas.In the long run it will be cheaper than the Gas Stabilizer.

This is not true gas only takes a few weeks to start breaking down but you should be ok for a few weeks.

for just a few weeks shouldnt have a problem. my eiger has been sitting in the garage for 3weeks started it this past weekend and it started with one touch of the button. a friend of mine told me that gas stabilizer will foul your plug dont know how true that is but unless im not gonna ride for a long time dont wanna have to replace plug every few weeks.

My grandpa puts Sta-Bil in all of his gas tanks. I have had it in my tank since day one and the plug has never fouled on me once. It wouldnt hurt a thing to put some in your eiger even if leaving it sit for a few weeks just to play it safe. I will tell you what I wouldnt want a gumed up carb on a brand new Eiger if I were you but...

if the plug is fouled you better look at how much you put in it and read instructions, I used it all the time every year in every gas powered machine I have and never I repeat never have had any problem. over and out
