HELP...for the life of me I can't find the output terminal that is supposed to be on the right hand side of the gas tank. I found the one in the rear next to the storage box.
But I can't locate the other. Today I took the plastic cover off, the one under the gas tank, because I figured the output term was well out of sight. Removing this plastic piece didn't help, I still can't locate it. The owners manual clearly shows where it is and I clearly can't find the damn thing. Could it be that the dealer used the output terminal in the front for the winch they installed on my quad??? Thanks |
c4drm... Its there, it is on the right side, but not directly below the tank, more towards the fender a little bit. Its tied up to an existing wiring harness, so it could be hidden in the other wires. You'll find it, just keep looking.

How do these terminals work? I was under the impression that they were made to hook a cigarrette lighter attachment in them like the ones that are in vehicles. It almost looks like it is that type of terminal but with a plastic plug to keep water and mud out since it has an extra clip infront of the plug to keep the plug-in from flopping around. If it isn't this type then I guess you have to splice the wires into the plug. Thanks.

r34...I'll look again, tx.
Venomous, I've got no idea what these output terminals are used for or what one could plug into them? I was expecting the samething you were (i.e. cigarrette lighter type outlet r34 or anyone else, any ideas??? |
I bought an extension from Suzuki that plugs into the factory terminal and has loose wires on the opposite end for putting whatever kind of plug on it, for example a cig lighter receptacle. It's 3 or 4 feet long and was $20. This was for the KQ but may be the same for the 500s.

correction; the extension cord I mentioned is actually 6-1/2 feet long.
