Please give advice.
I've been looking into buying either a Vinson or an Eiger. Maybe even a Scrambler, Sportsman (I know Polaris) or Arctic Cat.
I really want a very fast 4x4 (65mph +), full foot guard ATV with racks that my wife and I can ride. Obviously the Scrambler doesn't have racks, but I might sacrifice the racks for a little less weight.
What about auto transmissions? How are they in the mud?
I've read that the Vinson 500 is only 3 mph faster than the Eiger 400. Is this true? Which ATV is the fastest that I've listed?
Are Arctic Cats slow?
Please give me some opinions.

The Sportsman 700 would be the fastest. With an auto in the mud, you're always in the right gear, and they work excellent. And an IRS quad will have a lot better ride and more clearance. Oh, and you can get front and rear racks for the Scrammy, although that particular quad might not be the most comfy for 2-person riding.

The Scrambler is probably the fastest one you've listed. It's more of a sport quad as opposed to the others you listed which are utility quads.
I would guess that the Vinson was an auto versus a manual Eiger if it was only 3mph faster. I would think a Vinson manual would be a bit faster than 3mph against a manual Eiger . Same with auto Vinson against auto Eiger. That's what's nice about the 2 Suzukis, you can get them in manual and auto like the Arctic Cats.
The sportsman would be the best in mud I would think. IRS and the only locking front dif of the group you listed. Just don't expect to blast around the trails on a Sportsman unless you want to get hurt as they aren't the best at high-speed handeling due to the soft IRS and heavy weight.
Arctic Cats are a bit slower than the others and especially slower than the Scrambler. The Cat is at it's best when high ground clearance is needed in extreme terrian.
Like the other poster suggested, you may want to check out the Kawasaki Prarie or Suzuki Twin Peaks as they are basically the same machine with dif colors. They are both the fastest 4x4 with locking front dif and good high-speed handeling.
