brake problems

on my 86 230s my rear brake keeps hanging up. I have checked the caliper and it seems to be working,
the pads got so hot that they crystalized. I have noticed when i'm on an incline in neutral and i release
the brakes,the quad barely rolls backwards.could it be the parking brake feature??? i never use it.

make sure the rotor isn't warped.
