Default LT250Rs any good?

Hey guys. I need something faster then a the Warrior. Some guy is offering to trade my Warrior for his LT250R. He said it was all recently rebuilt. Do these handle goods as the TrX's...or close atleast? If you maintain them do you have to rebuild them often? I don't really wanna have to rebuild every 2 months. and I want something that is going to handle better then my Warrior. Are they kick start or electric? Fast? Reliable? I need some info here guys! Thanks

Yeah they are faster than your warrior, 87-92 are the most desirable years (powervalve). If you maintain it, it will not have to be rebuilt every 2 months for sure, there are people that are going on 5+ years on the same top end. Kick start. Stock for stock they are just a hair faster than the TRX250R. The machine can only be as reliable as the owner. If you take care of it, it will take care of you.

I would go for it if i were you. I was in the same situation as you but i had a mojave. They do handle good and they are very light which helps out alot. Have you gotten to see/drive this LT? Make sure you look over the frame good for cracks and make sure it shifts smoothly through all the gears, 6 speed tranny. You wont regret getting the LT.

Quad Racers are killer quads. Even my die hard Honda 250R buddy admits that my quad feels better in the tight stuff and does donuts for days. And he's pretty stubborn Honda or nothing kind of guy. Put some good shocks on it and it is a whole new machine. The stock ones (even when they were new) sucked.

I have an Armadillo swingarm skid on mine, a .250" thick aluminum job. You can find them on ebay pretty reasonable.
