Hey guys I plan on getting a 2005 Z400 soon, I already put a deposit down on one and I was wondering if you guys think skidplates off a 2004 would fit on it? The A-arm skidplates, the full chassis and the swingarm. Thanks a lot, any input is helpful.

Just an FYI, I picked up the UM skids on ebay and they are really nice. They're direct from UM also. You can email the seller and he'll sell direct too.

I like the PRM rear skid plate. It is one piece, covers the shock linkage and the box is hollow so rocks and mud won't pack up. The prices were decent on their website and it is a nice piece. Armadillo makes a really nice full length skid and it is the least inexpensive one from Rocky Mountain ATV.

The 400 Quadsport comes with stock with plastic skids and they arn't up to the task. I cracked my rear skid but I don't know how/when it happened. It's too bad that Suzuki didn't update the chain adjustment on the rear swingarm. The original 230 Quadsport used an eccentric cam, Honda style rear carrier that was super easy to adjust.

I have a um swingarm skidplate and I don't like it. It's not up to par with the amidillo for the price. Had it for about 6 months and the welds cracked. So I put about 50 dollars extra into it to add more aluminum and get the welds re welded. But thats just my opinion.
