Dealer Trade?

Dealer Trade?
Hello everyone,
I am pretty new to this forum, lots of great information here. I have a question I am hoping you guys can shed some light on. I am attempting to trade in my 03 Z400 for a new quad. I really need to get a 4x4 and I have found a pretty good deal. I am concerned about the trade in (selling privately is not in the timeframe), my Z had a minor crack in the engine block under the shifter. The engine was removed and the crack was professionally welded.
My concern is that if the dealer sees that the block has a weld bead, they will not take the trade in. I wanted to know if anyone has had a similar experience? Any info is appreciated.
Sorry for the long post!

That is CRAZY ! Especially when a dealership very near me is selling the '04's for just that $3,800!!
Wooh! let me correct myself here, take the deal !! Cause I just realized that you would be gettin
a new price deal ! Nah, I know where your coming from, it's not a good deal after all set up fees
and tax & all.
What I don't understand is just about everyone on here { who rebuilds from the frame up}
doesn't take ADVANTAGE of buying the" CRATE" and SAVING BIG BUCKS on assembling the machines at home??? I know it saves like a $1,000.00 or maybe alittle {not much less} on
doing all this yourself. ALOT of these guys are MORE than CAPABLE on doing all this prep work.
SAVE SOME BIG CASH & DO THE PREP YOURSELVES !! Thats what the DEALERSHIPS DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW !

Dealer Trade?
Biggone, i think most dealerships would balk at a 'in crate' sale due to warranty of product. they don't know how you bolted it together and they're not gonna give you the benefit of the doubt if something goes wrong.
sure, that rim was damaged in shipping when you unpacked it but yer gonna be stuck with the replacement cost and oem parts are really expensive!
i know you would inspect the crate before you loaded it up, but i'm just saying that any claim after the sale would be pretty much s.o.l.
